VIDEO: Dressed to Win

What does your clothing say about you? If you were a Seattle woman fighting for your right to vote in the early 1900s, your clothes might have said a lot about your politics.

As a non-profit, everything we do is funded by our generous donors and members. If you want to help us preserve our history please consider donating or becoming a member..

The drawings in this video were based on political cartoons published by the Washington state and British versions of the “Votes for Women” magazine. Other drawings were based on postcards and artifacts in the Washington State Historical Society’s collection.
