VIDEO: Carol Vincent receives countywide lifetime volunteer honor

Enjoy this video of Carol Vincent receiving the Willard Jue volunteer award of the Association of King County Historical Organizations (AKCHO) from King County Council member Kathy Lambert.

Our own Carol Vincent, former board president and a multi-faceted volunteer for our organization for 28 years, was the recipient of this year’s Willard Jue Memorial Award, presented by the Association of King County Heritage Organizations (AKCHO) at its award program Tuesday evening, April 25, 2017, at the Northwest African American Museum.

Present to congratulate Carol Vincent (left) on her award were (from left) Candace Lein-Hayes, Judy Bentley, Flo Lentz, Edie Neeson, Karen Sisson, Deb Barker, Andrea Mercado, Sarah Frederick, Kerry Korsgaard, Meg Eals, Tia Hallberg, Clay Eals and Bonnie Gromlich. See the formal announcement at AKCHO website. The Willard Jue award is AKCHO’s equivalent of a lifetime achievement honor.

We are fortunate for this countywide recognition, and we are even more fortunate for the dedication, skill, commitment, passion and caring embodied in Carol (and husband Charlie) on behalf of our organization for nearly three decades.
