Paying tribute to Arlene Wade

The late Arlene Wade, the passionate board president who led the fundraising for our organization’s restoration of the building that became our Log House Museum in the mid-1990s, was the focus of our 2013 Annual Meeting held Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.

The Annual Meeting took place from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the lower level of the West Seattle Library, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W. in the Admiral neighborhood of West Seattle. Attendees included Cecile Hansen, chair of the Duwamish Tribe; her daughter, Jolene Haas; and Charles Payton, retired heritage preservation manager for King County.

All paid tribute to Wade, along with Marcy Johnsen, board president. To read more about Wade, who died from cancer last spring, please click here.
